High School 

Molinaro was a three-time New Jersey State Champion at Barnegat's Southern Regional High School...placed second at High School Nationals.

Collegiate 

Molinaro was a four year starter for the Nittany Lions from 2008-2012, and a four time all-american.  Under the helm of Cael Sanderson, Frank helped lead Penn State to a team national title in 2011, and 2012, as well as being named the 2012 NCAA Division I 149 pound national champion where he went undefeated that year.  One of his most memorable tournaments was the B1G Championships in 2012 when he pinned, teched, teched, his way through the finals without giving up a point.  He was awarded outstanding wrestler of the tournament.  

Freestyle

Most recently, Frank, as a 9 seed, upset the field at the 2016 Olympic Team Trials, beating the likes of Brent Metcalf. Aaron Pico. Frank went on to qualify the 65kg weight at the 2nd OG World Qualifying Tournament in Istanbul, Turkey to officially join the 2016 Olympic Freestyle team.

Personal 

In July, Frank and his wife Kera will be moving to State College, Pennsylvania where they will reside full time.  His parents, Frank and Michele, reside in Barnegat, N.J. and older brother Robert is a graduate from the Naval Academy and now an officer in the Navy.  Frank and Kera are expecting their first child in November.
